Find in one place your exchanges with providers about your requests, with organizers about your catalog, and with your clients.

Goal

Messages gathers all your conversations. Each booking request has its thread: the ones you send to providers from your events' tasks, and the ones organizers send to your catalog if it is listed. Each client linked to your space also has their thread, marked Client space.

Steps

  1. Open Messages from the menu. On the left, the list of conversations — unread first, then the most recent; on the right, the open conversation. On a phone, the list shows first, then the conversation full screen.
  2. Each row shows who you are talking to, the context (the task the request is about, preceded by the event for the ones you send, or Client space for a client), the last message and the number of unread messages.
  3. Type in the Your message field and send with the Enter key (Shift + Enter for a new line). Read shows under your messages once they have been read.
  4. On the thread of a request you sent, View the request opens it in your Requests. On the thread of a request received on your catalog, View the booking takes you to your Received requests. The message attached to the request shows at the top of the thread.
  5. On a client's thread, Client file opens their card in your client book. This thread starts when you click Message the client (see "Your client's space").
  6. Beyond a few conversations, a search field appears (by name or event); Show more conversations loads older ones.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't I write in a conversation any more? For a request, the thread becomes read-only once it is declined or cancelled. For a client, it becomes read-only when you remove their access to their space or delete them from your book: you keep the history, they no longer see it.

Does my client see my exchanges with providers? No. They only see your conversation with them; your exchanges with providers stay between you and them.

Can I write to a provider without sending them a request? No: a conversation with a provider is always tied to a request. Send one from a task of the event (Organize the task), then talk on its thread.

Where can I see that I have unread messages? A badge shows on the Messages entry of the menu, and an alert appears on your Dashboard.
