The event page

Run an event from its page — details, progress, steps and tasks, status, PDF export, and permanent deletion.

Goal

An event's page gathers everything about it: its details (date, time, venue, budget), its progress, its steps and tasks, and shortcuts to guests, invitation, seating plan and gifts. It is also where you change its status, export it as a PDF or delete it.

Steps

  1. Open Events in the menu, then click the event. The pencil next to the title renames it; the Budget, Date, Time and Venue cards change with one click.
  2. The Overview tab shows what is spent and planned, the progress, the Organization section (steps, guests, invitation, seating plan, gifts) and your booking requests in progress.
  3. The Steps tab lists the timeline: Add a step, then tasks inside each step. Save as template keeps this organization for a future event.
  4. The PDF button exports the event file; the Help link at the top of the page opens this manual.
  5. The Event status menu (⋮) lets you mark it as done, cancel it (it stays readable and can be restored), or delete it.
  6. Delete event asks for a confirmation, because it is permanent: its steps and tasks disappear, its guests and gifts are erased (RSVP links already sent stop working), and booking requests still open are cancelled, vendors are notified. Quotes and invoices already issued remain, as the law requires. You then return to the events list.

FAQ

What is the difference between cancelling and deleting? A cancelled event stays in your list, with its history, and can be restored. A deleted event is gone for good.

What happens to my guests' data? It is erased as soon as the event is deleted. Without deletion, it is anonymized automatically twelve months after the event date: counts (replies, plus-ones) remain, names and contact details do not.

A vendor had accepted a request for this event. The request is cancelled on deletion and the vendor receives a notification, as if you had cancelled it yourself. A quote or invoice already issued remains readable on both sides.

Can I recover a deleted event? No. If in doubt, prefer Cancel event or Save as template before deleting.
