Requests to providers

Follow every booking request sent to providers, handle their quotes and cancel a request if needed.

Updated on September 29, 2026

Goal

The Requests page gathers the booking requests you sent to platform providers, across all your events. A request starts from a task, when you choose "A platform provider" in Organize the task. Each request shows where it stands, in plain words, and whatever needs your action comes first.

Steps

  1. Open Requests in the menu. The badge next to it counts the quotes received that are waiting for your answer. From an event, the Requests section opens the same page, filtered on that event.
  2. Pick a view: Ongoing, Confirmed or Closed, each with its number of requests. Once two or more events are involved, the Event menu narrows the list down to one of them.
  3. Read each request's stage: Waiting for the provider, Accepted, quote to come, Quote received, Quote declined, Quote accepted, Declined or Cancelled. The card also shows the event, the task, the date it was sent and the quote amount.
  4. Once a quote has arrived, click View the quote: lines, totals and payment schedule are displayed. Choose Accept quote or Decline quote, or Download PDF.
  5. Details opens the full request: your message, the provider's response, the History (sent, response, quote versions, cancellation), plus Open step… and Provider page.
  6. Conversation opens the exchange with the provider, from the card or from the details.
  7. To withdraw a pending or accepted request, open Details, click Cancel the request, then Confirm cancellation. The provider is notified.
  8. Once the service has taken place, a Leave a review section appears in the details: give a rating, an optional title and your review, then Publish review.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between "Confirmed" and "Closed"? Confirmed holds the requests whose quote you accepted. Closed holds those the provider declined or that you cancelled.

The provider accepted my request, but I have no quote. The Accepted, quote to come stage means they still have to send it. Meanwhile, you can write to them through Conversation.

Can I still write to the provider after a cancellation? No: the conversation of a declined or cancelled request stays readable, but becomes read-only.

Where does my review appear? On the provider's public page, with your first name and initial.

What does the "In dispute" badge mean? It means the etkivent team has placed the request in dispute; it is visible to you and to the provider.
